This 8,239 square foot home originally constructed in 1904 provided Milano Builders with the opportunity to take on a thorough and painstaking historical renovation project.
While the exterior of the home has kept its original and classic look, the interior renovation work brings this home into the 21st Century. Nearly every inch of this home has been updated with modern design and luxury essentials.
The kitchen has been finished in neutral colors that compliment the large window above the sink and truly opens up the space. Granite countertops, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, and expansive cabinet space… this kitchen has it all. The addition of the light fixtures above the island and table pay homage to the home’s historic past.
Stunning fine-detailed white trim and casings bring life to the simplistic feel of this home, most specifically in the living room, sitting room, and grand dining room. Each of these rooms receive an abundance of sunlight, complimentary of the french doors that provide access to the outdoor space of the backyard. The moldings and casings add a sense of character that seamlessly integrate the space with the fine decor found in each room.
Throughout the rest of the home as well as the guest house, modern updates were completed but we were sure to do so while respecting and highlighting the details of 20th Century craftsmanship. We performed this kind work in the bar and study, diligently restoring these rooms to the glory of their past. This kind of work can also be seen in the den, where the historic feel of the wooden-paneled walls and ceiling have been refurbished.
